Utilizing American-grown Pima cotton knit into a luxuriously soft yet durable 160 GSM jersey, 3sixteen Pima tees are undoubtedly one of the best options for warmer days. The texture has a drape and a smooth, silky hand. In addition, it features a triple-needle coverstitched never-sag collar that stays tight around the neck over extended wears and washes.
Once cut and sewn, they are sent to a local dye house in Los Angeles to be dyed to limited-edition colours. The Smoke colourway mimics the look of a vintage black t-shirt, with more pronounced fading around the seams and collar. Due to the dyeing process, these tees have a softer, more broken-in hand than 3sixteen standard tees and will not shrink further.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never "old."
