The BD shirt is a 3sixteen take on the classic buttondown shirt that they offer in both short and long sleeve styles. The brand paired this short sleeve style with a Japanese indigo sashiko fabric that's given a rinse to bring out the dynamic blues and remove shrinkage.
The sashiko effect is woven into the fabric base and gives an irregular hand that will result in beautiful aging over time.
The fantastic texture gives character, while details like urea buttons and chainstitch run-offs make each shirt unique.
The shirt is cut and sewn in the USA in the same factory that 3sixteen makes their jeans.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never "old."
