3sixteen Vacation Shirt design takes inspiration from classic open-collar leisure shirts of the 50s coupled with an updated, modern fit.
This shirt is incredibly versatile and can be worn open with a plain tee or buttoned up with the collar left open. The fabric drapes super nicely while maintaining a lighter, flowy feel that is perfect for warmer months.
3sixteen has created this beautiful hand-screened fabric as part of a continued exploration of distorted variations of classic patterns. The Drunk Chess print is a playful, warped reinterpretation of the classic checkerboard.
It fatures a custom fabric developed for 3sixteen from the ground up in India that utilizes slub yarns for a streakier, textured fabric. The fabric itself is a lyocell, which is a cellulose fiber created from the dissolving of eucalyptus pulp. The processes used to create the fabric are both low impact in terms of environmental impact as well as water usage. The resulting fabric is one that is breathable and temperature regulating, which is perfectly suited for the silhouette.
Founded in LA by Johan Lam and Andrew Chen over a decade ago, 3sixteen's philosophy is evident in pieces they've developed since 2008: shirts, jackets, basics and accessories all take cues in form and function from their jeans. Fabrics and trims are always chosen for their capacity to develop character with time. 3sixteen aim is that, with diligent wear, the customers are rewarded with something well-aged, never "old."
